The Course

'First'

The first hole is a par 4 which is 313 yards in length from the white tees.  You may not need a driver from the tee as long hitters should be aware of hidden bunker on the right hand side of the fairway.

'Lovat'

The 2nd hole is a par 4 which is 321 yards in length from the white tees.  The chimney in the distance is a good line from the tee as playing from the left hand side of the fairway gives an easier approach shot.  Be careful with club selection for the approach as there is hidden ground between the bunker and the front of the green which can make the shot look shorter than it actually is.

'Ale House'

A 319 yard par 4 from the white tees.  The green is in a hollow so you may require one less club than normal for your approach shot.

'Bridge'

The 4th Hole is a par 4 which is 305 yards in length from the white tees.  Although a relatively short par 4 the Railway line runs down the whole right side of the fairway and is out of bounds.  Aim tee shot down the left hand side of the fairway to avoid the out of bounds as it will feed back in to the middle of the fairway.

'Corrie'

The first par 3 that you will come across on the course which is 160 yards from the white tees.  Tee is sheltered so allow for wind at green level.

'Carn a Chlarsair'

Trees run down the right hand side of the hole which measures 333 yards from the white tees for this par 4.  Two bunkers are hidden up the left hand side of the fairway at approximately 250 yards.

'Braids'

The par 4 seventh hole measures 299 yards from the white tees.  Fairway gradually rises up hill and green is split in two levels.  Playing approach shot from the right hand side of the fairway makes for an easier approach but be wary of bushes on the right hand side of the fairway when playing the tee shot.

'Teandalloch'

The 8th hole measures 421 yards from the white tees and is a par 4.  From the white and red tees the green is visible.  Tee shot should be aimed just left of the green.  From the yellow tees the tee shot should be aimed at the middle of the tree plantation in the distance.

'Corriemount'

Keep the tee shot on the left side of the fairway on the par 4 ninth hole which is 414 yards from the white tees.  Green is split in two tiers so be aware of the pin position when playing approach shot.

'Ardnagrask'

Par 3 10th hole plays from an elevated tee down to a green surrounded by grassy mounds with a bunker front right of the green.  Hole measures 173 yards from the white tees but plays less than the yardage due to playing from the elevated tee.

'The Rookery'

The 11th hole is a par 4 measuring 394 yards from the white tees.  There is a small pond on the left side of the fairway approximately 200 yards from the tee.  Favour the right side of the fairway with the tee shot.  Keep the approach shot right of the pin as green slopes from right to left.

'Thirsty'

The 12th hole is the signature hole of the course.  Measuring 219 yards from the white tees with two burns running across the hole.  Tee shot should be aimed at the right side of the green and with one club less than normal.

'Castle Hill'

The 13th Hole is a short par 3 measuring 111 yards from the white tees.  As the approach is to an elevated green one club more may be required.  It is a tough up and down if the green is missed.

'Railway'

Accuracy is important on this par 4 which measures 346 yards from the white tees.  The railway runs down the entire left hand side of the hole which is out of bounds.  The ideal line to take from the tee is on the bunker on the right.  For the second shot try to come in from the left of the pin to the smallest green on the course.

'Long'

As the name of the hole suggests this is the longest hole on the course measuring 479 yards from the white tee and the only par 5 on the course for gents.  A straight drive is required to avoid the fairway bunkers.  The percentage shot for the approach is to favour the right side of the green as the railway line is just left of the green.

'Logan'

The final par 3 on the course measures 196 yards from the white tees.  Accuracy is required for the tee shot as two bunkers front right and left make the entrance to the green very narrow.

'Cattle Market'

Out of bounds runs down the right hand side of the 17th hole par 4 which measures 388 yards from the white tees.  Be aware of the two hidden bunkers left and right of the green on the approach shot.

'Home'

The last hole measures 405 yards from the white tees.  Left half of the fairway is the ideal line from the tee.  Although this hole has no bunkers the approach is guarded by out of bounds left and behind the green.
